Avon Health Center Listed Among Best In The Country

Avon, Conn. (December 6, 2016) – U.S. News & World Report evaluated more than 15,000 nursing homes to designate slightly more than 2,000 in the 2016-17 list of “Best Nursing Homes.” U.S. News recognized Avon Health Center in Avon, Connecticut among 52 best nursing homes in Connecticut.

The methodology for the U.S. News “Best Nursing Home” relies on data from Nursing Home Compare at the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Factors included overall performance ratings, as well as ratings for key services over the 12 months ending October 2016.

Family-owned and operated, Avon Health Center is a 120-bed skilled nursing center located on West Avon Road in Avon that provides short-term rehabilitation, skilled sub-acute care, long-term care, hospice care and other traditional medical and nursing services, with the goal of optimizing each resident’s quality of life.
